Request for Proposals: Place Data Portal
Five10Twelve Ltd, in association with Arts Council England has opened this limited Request for
Proposals (RFP) for submission of proposals for the development of an external-facing Place Data
Platform (PDP).
This statement of work covered in this RFP is linked to a project that is currently underway at
Five10Twelve, which aims to widen access to Arts Council England’s own place-based investment
data and provide opportunities to map this against other datasets, (local and national), and other
contextual information. This will help users build a holistic picture of a place across a range of
metrics and inform future cultural strategies and investment decisions.
This will support organisations, place partnerships, policymakers, academics, local
authorities and creative and cultural practitioners to make best use of the available data to build a
profile of their local area, assess local need, design and deliver appropriate activity and to
evidence impact of funding and interventions over time.
Five10Twelve is looking for a technical development partner that fully understands these goals
and is proactive and flexible to build and/or deliver a solution that can accommodate the evolving
needs of Arts Council England, the user base and the wider creative and cultural sector.
